John Beck markets a product called "John Beck's Free and Clear Real Estate System".
He claims that he can show you a way to buy real estate parcels for pennies on the dollar. What he is proposing is that you buy homes and property from people that have had their properties taxed out from under them.
His concept is simple, locate properties and homes that have become delinquent paying their taxes and by them for pennies on the dollar. Well I can tell you that most properties that still have a lien against them will bring more than pennies on the dollar because the lender will make sure of it.
It seems kind of harsh to me picking up these properties cheap because of others misfortunes. John Beck is like most of the real estate gurus by claiming that you can make big money in a short period of time with real estate. Sometimes you can and a lot of times you do not. Not all areas of the country have the same type of real estate markets. I live in a small rural area of Kentucky and if you try to sell a house here and it could take 6 months to a year even if it is a bargain. In an area like this it is hard to buy depressed properties and fix them up and resell them for a profit.
I have a good friend that lives in Florida and they sold their house 30 minutes after it listed. A totally different market with different real estate investment possibilities. Before you decide to invest in John Beck's course do some research and find out what kind of market you are in. More importantly be realistic when it comes to your income possibilities. If John tells you you're going to make $10,000 in 30 days then you can figure $3,000 in 100 days. Most of the tactics these real estate gurus teach work just not on the time table they tell you.
